A motorcyclist may do so only when a vehicle is moving towards the left, and there is an unpaved shoulder on the right side.
A motorcyclist may do so if a vehicle is turning left and there is a paved shoulder on the right side.
A motorcyclist may do so when the vehicle ahead of the motorcyclist is driving under 40 km/h.
A motorcyclist may pass on a shoulder at any time when it is safe to do so.
